Leslie: Just watched Opa! a silly 2005 film about an archaelogist who has to decide which is more important: the find that will make his career and redeem his father's reputation or the livelihood of the love of his life. What interested me (aside from the Greek chorus and the enormous amount of subtitled Greek dialogue) was the issue of the tension between the present and the past: the lives of the local people versus the veneration of the remains of those long dead.
