We are getting settled in now. Last night there was a nice welcome reception and today we had an orienation and a campus tour. They are taking really good care of us! Below is the view from the open-air theater. We are up on the slope of Mt. Hymettos, so Athens is spread out below us.
And now for the theater itself. I'm outraged -- why doesn't UNF have a hillside open-air theater made out of Greek marble? I think I'm not coming home until they build one.
There is also a hillside open-air Olympic pool that Michael Phelps trained in, a three-story Starbucks, gorgeous pine-covered paths along the hillside, a beautiful library, art everywhere and Olympic security.
