Phil and I love graveyards. We've spent an awful lot of time in graveyards. Even in Jacksonville, a couple of weeks before we left for Greece our evening volta included a spin through the neighborhood cemetery we call the "cemetery of tragic families" because it contains so many graves of young people and children.
This cemetery on Rhodes was a Turkish cemetery, the first I'd ever seen. The graves of those who'd made the pilgrimmage to Mecca wore turbans, and others had fezzes. I guess they are truly "headstones?"
