Monasteries require proper dress (only fair, really, as they are working sanctuaries and not tourist sites). I always forget the rules, so I'm recording them here for posterity. Even on Meteora, though, there were skirts to put on for those who were under-dressed. But for the record, shoulders and knees must be covered by both sexes, and in Meteora, women can't wear even long pants.
